About Us

Sustainable | Responsible | Innovative

We want to help you do sheep better.

Our rams are mules-free and sire sheep which are resilient, fertile and fast-growing with minimal skin wrinkle and a dust and water repellent fleece; sheep which gives them the constitution to perform in all conditions, right across Australia.

Using all the selection tools at our disposal, including ASBVs, and with a focus on super soft skins, we produce the most elite fibre with exceptional staple length on large, plain-bodied, free growing animals.

We’ve proven that reducing fibre diameter doesn’t have to mean reduced wool cuts, combining a fast-growing, heavy dressing animal with the most desirable fibre, while maintaining the heavy fleece weight that the traditional South Australian merino is known for.

Our sires are carefully selected from well performed families within the top studs across Australia which, together with our extensive Artificial Insemination program including embryo transfer from some of our top ewes, gives us confidence that the pedigree of our sale rams will bring strong genetic gain to our client’s flocks.

Karawatha Park represents industry best-practice and a sound investment in the future of your flock.
